Hedwig's Theme
From Harry Potter Wiki
Hedwig's Theme is a leitmotif composed by John Williams for the Harry Potter film series. Often labelled as the main theme of the film series, it was first featured in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in the track "Prologue." A concert arrangement of the same name is featured in the end credits. Hedwig's Theme has been interpolated throughout every Harry Potter film score to date, including those by Patrick Doyle and Nicholas Hooper. It is also featured in the score to the Order of the Phoenix game composed by James Hannigan. Hedwig's Theme has achieved significant pop culture status, featuring in ring tones, trailer music and other forms of multimedia.
[edit] Behind the scenes
- In the film version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Hagrid can be heard playing the theme on his flute just before Harry, Ron, and Hermione question him about how he got Norbert's egg.
- In the video game version of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Luna Lovegood can be heard humming the tune for a few seconds near the beginning of the game as you walk with her up the path to the Stone Circle.
