The head line is a particular crease on the palm of a person's hand that serves an indicator in the art of palmistry.

When Harry Potter sat his Divination O.W.L. exam in 1996, he mixed up this line and the life line, and told Professor Griselda Marchbanks, the examiner, that she ought to have died the previous Tuesday.[1]
