A headboy badge is given to each headboy or headgirl at the begining of every year. These students are in their Seventh year and were probably Prefects. In 1993, Percy Weasley's headboy badge read 'Bighead Boy'. The badges are probably presented in a similar fashion to prefect badges which is via Owl post and included alongside a list of school supplies.
