"Are you a wizard, or what?"
The title of this article is conjectural. Although it is based on canonical information, the actual name is a conjecture and may be supplanted at any time by additional information released from canonical sources. If this occurs, please move this page to the appropriate title. |
A hawk-like owl could be seen at times perched in one of two aged crab-apple trees in the front garden of the Lovegoods' home.
It is unknown who owns this owl, but it is presumed that it belongs to the Lovegoods, as it is unlikely that it was on their premises by coincidence.
This may be the owl Xenophilius Lovegood used to deliver a message to the Death Eaters to inform them that Harry Potter was in his house.
Behind the scenes
- This owl may be a Northern Hawk Owl (Surnia ulula), a species known for its similarities with hawks.
- It is not a Eurasian Eagle Owl as the text describes it as small, while this species is one of the world's largest.
Appearances
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (First appearance)
