The Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone original motion picture soundtrack was released on 30 October, 2001. The film's score was composed and conducted by John Williams. The films score introduced many themes that have reoccurred through the film series, most noticeable is "Hedwig's Theme". This piece is first introduced in the piece “Prologue” and has appeared in every Harry Potter film to date.
