What's the difference between a prefect and a mentor? Hermione524 20:17, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

A prefect is an user that can deduct or award points. Mentors can not do so, their purpose is to support their house when there are no prefects in that house are available at the time. -- HellaboreHallows(Deathly Hallows)

Hellabore is right, but there is one point I'd like to clarify, which is that "Mentor" is a secondary role played by someone who is already a Prefect. If a House has no Prefect, then a Prefect for a different House may step in as a Mentor, in order to ensure that all four Houses always have a team leader. is Sharon Crush actually a Gryffindor mentor? She seems sort of new. ShirleyALuna Lovegood(The Quibbler) 11:17, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

How do you become a prefect? Because I would really like to become the Hufflepuff prefect. --MuggleBorn 19:20, 30 June 2009 (UTC)Annie

Should inactive users be removed from the Participants list before the next game starts? - Nick O'Demus 18:11, 17 August 2009 (UTC)

I think they can stay, it's not like there's a lack of space, and that way if they do come back they can still play. --Margiechocoholic Medieval Broomstick Owl me! 11:41, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

I was just thinking, it's pretty unfair that Hufflepuff has about half as many participants as Gryffindor, it's hardly fair. Maybe we should double points received by Hufflepuffs (and possibly Slytherins)? Then again, it could be said that it's the Hufflepuff prefects' job to recruit participants. Still. I think the main reason there are so many Gryffindors is that it's Harry, Ron and Hermione's house. --Margiechocoholic Medieval Broomstick Owl me! 11:41, September 9, 2009 (UTC)

Just wondering...

But can a user(Like me) join this game at any time? The Halfblood 20:25, April 18, 2010 (UTC)

When is the game re-starting?Hpsuperfan(Owl Me) 01:16, October 3, 2011 (UTC)

Unless this is going to be started up again (which doesn't seem to be the case), this really needs to be either removed or archived. People keep adding their name and there's no point because there is no game. ProfessorTofty (talk) 22:58, July 10, 2012 (UTC)

I added my name partly in the hope that the game would start again (it seems a much better idea than Wikia's Achievements system, which is supposed to encourage editing but in my experience with it when it was enabled on the FastMail wiki, mostly encourages vandal editing) and partly in order to reflect my belief that I most closely match Ravenclaw characteristics. -- RobertATfm (talk) 03:00, July 13, 2012 (UTC)
I enabled badges on one of the wikis that I'm an admin at a while back, and I didn't notice any sudden uptick in vandalism, but then again, that wiki has always been oddly almost completely free of vandalism. In any case, hope springs eternal, but there apparently has been no game in over two years. I think it's safe to it's dead. If you're serious about the idea of encouraging a revival, you may want to bring it up on the message boards. ProfessorTofty (talk) 06:22, July 13, 2012 (UTC)
