Spoiler warnings

Does any one else think that we should remove spoiler warnings from th individual articles since there is one on the main page? We could make that one more prominent. John Reaves talk 00:03, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

I think we could make a site notice on the wiki MediaWiki:sitenotice, and warn users about the possibility of spoilers instead of stating so on every page. —Animagi/Prongs 22:35, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
That's a great idea. We could add a [show] and [hide] function too. Then all we'll have to do is delete {{spoiler}} from every page. Do you know which version of MediaWiki we use? John Reaves (talk) 23:58, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
I checked and found out that we use v. 1.5. —Animagi/Prongs 03:35, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
I've added the text to the MediaWiki:Sitenotice. Do you know how to add a show/hide feature? John Reaves (talk) 08:57, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

I've requested adminship at Wikia (for this site) and been told that I should try and get community support first. I've been doing a lot to update and improve this wiki lately and I feel we could use an admin to take care of deletions, difficult moves, vandals, etc. I have more than 4400 edits on wikipedia: (see my userpage here) and am familiar with policy and procedure there. So if anybody supports this request, sign you name with four tildes (~~~~) below. 1. Support. The admins here are rarely on here, and it would be a great help to have an active admin. John Reaves is dedicated to improving this wiki, and giving him administrator privelages will help us all. —Animagi/Prongs 22:35, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
  2. Support. John has been wonderful to the community, not only with edits, but with helping new ones (such as myself) feel comfortable, and guiding us. He should have admin abilities, not only because he deserves it, but because giving him those abilities can insure this Wiki stays clean, professional, and a Harry Potter environment we can all productively thrive in. 4. Support I have been apart of the Harry Potter Wiki for a while, and have contributed many articles to it. I have noticed John being a very active member of it, and I support his appointment to Admin. It would be nice to have an active one who comes to the site daily. I wish you the best of luck at improving this site. Lemniwinks

Thanks for the support and thanks to Splarka for the rights. Looks like we can operate on our own now. John Reaves (talk) 07:47, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
