• Okay, this is a formality meant to appease some of the more or less senior members on this wiki. I will be moving to Germany this Saturday, the 15th of September. Since it will take a few months to get my internet connected on that end, the Harry Potter Wiki will have only one crat (User:John Reaves) available to handle user rights requests etc. for that many months. In the event that John gets sick or inconvenienced or (God forbid) killed, there will be nobody to handle user rights requests on this wiki. Part of the reason why John requested he be promoted in the first place was so that the community would not have to bother Wikia staff anymore with promotions if the only available bureaucrat was absent. Thus, I have decided to appoint User:DarkJedi613 as a temporary bureaucrat in my place for the length of my absence; his status will be reverted to administrator once I return unless you, the community, have decided by that time to have him promoted permanently. I have discussed the matter with Wikia staff, and they have given me the go-ahead already, but this small discussion has proven itself necessary among some of our members.

Now, in the name of fairness (and also to appease the warmer tempers in the community) please state your opinions regarding said temporary arrangement. And, on a related note, I would also like to take this opportunity to formally propose the policy that this wiki should have at least two bureaucrats at any given time to supervise it. Freakatone

Freakatone-- I wanted to request rollback rights so I can clear up vandalism quickly. It says that it's given out freely so I thought, what the heck? I might as well try. So here are some things about me and HP wiki:

• I have over 700 edits (80% on the main Wiki).
• I've been here for almost ten months, so I know what's going on.
• I am a consistent user, I try to get on every day.
• I haven't been warned for adding fanon or anything...

Me Potter Fan

• I would like to apply for Adminship because I believe that I am a trusted member of the wiki. I have been editing here for nearly 11 months, have made over 1500 edits and am currently the 6th highest user of this wiki according to Wiki stats(the highest non admin apart from Starstuff who has retired from editing this wiki). If I was an administrator I could help make this great wiki into an even better wiki by blocking vandals and deleting unwanted and useless articles. Grunny

I am nominating Grunny for administrator rights on the Harry Potter Wiki. Grunny has had these rights for a while now, as I temporarily gave him admin rights to allow him to work on cleaning up code across the wiki, some of which are in protected pages and namespaces accessible only by administrators. In that time, Grunny has cleaned up and reorganised templates and infoboxes to give the wiki a more "uniform" feel, and is to be commended for his efforts. I would like him to keep these rights, as I feel his presence on the admin team would be a benefit.

Grunny is a trusted and well respected member of the Wikia community at large, and a user who I have worked with over several wikis. His serves as an administrator and bureacrat across several wikis, including Wookieepedia. He is one of a handful of users who are part of the VSTF, who counter vandalism and spam Wikia-wide. Grunny is also technically experienced with Wikia operations and code, and can bring that level of knowledge to us, allowing us to benefit. Lastly, he operates a bot, Dr. Ball, M.D., which can make automated changes as needed.

I would like to request for having Rollback Privileges because, I want to prevent vandalism and fanon from this wiki and I feel that it would be an easier way to prevent it. These are some reasons why I think I should have Rollback Privileges:

• I have not had any warnings of creating vandalism or fanon to any wiki I edit on.

• I have more than 500 edits

• I get on Harry Potter Wiki everyday as it is my home page on the internet and every time i'm on I try to watch out for any fanon or vandalism.

• I have not had any personal attacks on a user on any wiki before.

• I would only use it if it was necessary.

I'm going to decline this request right now. I've looked over some of your recent undos and reverts and come across a number of ones that show inexperience at the moment. For example, this undo is incorrect, you did fix it afterward, but if you used rollback in that situation it would be a problem. Another example was these two reverts which reintroduced issues to the article. Another example would be here where you reintroduced fanon. For these reasons, I don't think you should be granted rollback just yet as you don't appear to have enough experience in determining what is fanon and vandalism (the only time rollback should be used). I would like to request admin privileges on the Harry Potter Wiki. I do believe that the admins we have do a good job, but they are overburdened - of the nine admins we have, three have not edited at all in over a month and of the remaining six, there are least three that have not edited within the past week.

If chosen, I would focus on issues of administration before making regular edits. Vandalism and issues related to off-topic blogs and such would be handled and matters that have been left sitting such as lack of movement on featured pages would be examined. The possibility of enabling new Wikia features such as badges which have not really undergone any sort of community review would be floated the community.

I believe my editing record is strong, and there are also my initiatives such as clearing out orphaned pages and supporting the notability policy. I also am currently the sole active admin and bureaucrat on the Eternal Sonata Wiki and since I took over earlier this year, it has moved from under 100 pages, many of them stub class, to nearly 250 pages, most of them full articles, and a featured Wikia wiki.

I will note that as stated in my profile, I do have another Wikia account. In case this is a concern for anyone, the account in question has not been used by me to edit on this wiki since before I registered this account, well over a year ago. I have my own reasons for not using the old account, but would be happy to provide the name of it if absolutely necessary to someone who asks for it, to be given in chat. Feeling far less self-conscious now, as I've been editing for almost a year and with almost if not no bad contributions, I feel that it's about time I asked for admin rights here. That way not only will I be able to quickly revert copious amounts of vandalism, but also I'll be able to quickly delete nonsense or fanon pages when other admins aren't active.

Hunnie Bunn, nothing personal, and I really respect all of the work that you've done around here, but I think that this may be a bit too soon. Recently you engaged in some troublesome editing regarding Gryffindor traits. There have also been some times when you've undone some contributions that weren't obviously intended as vandalism without leaving an edit comment or a message for the user in question. Also a bit of a concern is this whole thing about supposedly abandoning this account and starting another account entirely, only to then keep editing with this one. Not sure if I should reply here or on your talk page... either way, it's understandable what you're requesting and you're right about my bad behaviour in the past. Do I delete these messages and restore the page to the last edition, or do I just make a new one for rollback and archive this one, just wondering? Because I've had a few good edits over my year here at the wiki and to save time reverting vandalism, I am requesting rollback rights.
