This rucksack belonged to Harry Potter.
Before leaving 4 Privet Drive for the last time in July of 1997, Harry packed it with everything he felt he would need while searching for Lord Voldemort's Horcruxes. He almost lost it during the Battle of the Seven Potters, but managed to keep hold of it.
He believed it had been left at The Burrow after fleeing when Death Eaters arrived at Bill and Fleur's wedding in 1997. However, Hermione Granger had already packed it into her handbag, just in case.
