Mrs. Abbott was the mother of Hufflepuff student Hannah Abbott. During the Second Wizarding War, Mrs. Abbott was found dead in her home, having been killed by Death Eaters. When Hannah was informed of this during Herbology class, she was removed from Hogwarts.

Given that her daughter was a half-blood and there was an Abbott in the Godric's Hollow graveyard it is probable that Mrs. Abbott was a Muggle-born and so was killed by the Death Eaters for this.
