"To be polite, he took a sip from his cup too and almost gagged: the stuff was quite disgusting, as though someone had liquidised bogey-flavoured Every-Flavour Beans."
— Description[src]

Gurdyroot Infusion[citation needed] was a foul-tasting beverage concocted from the Gurdyroot plant[1]. As deeply purple in colour as beetroot juice, it was often said that this drink tasted like bogeys[2].

Xenophilius Lovegood and his daughter Luna were among the only known manufacturers of this drink, and visitors often requested the recipe; Ronald Weasley claimed this was to show the Poisoning Department at St Mungo's[2].

Shortly before the Ambush at the Lovegood House on 31 December, 1998, Xenophilius offered this drink to Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ronald Weasley when they came to visit[1]. All three drank, and shared the opinion that it tasted disgusting; indeed, Harry could only compare it to liquidised bogey-flavoured Every-Flavour Beans[2].
