Grenouille is a character in the 15th century play Hélas, Je me suis Transfiguré Les Pieds ("Alas, I have Transfigured My Feet") by the French writer, Malecrit.

In the play, Grenouille has to refuse help to Crapaud since he is to play as a Keeper in a Quidditch match.[1]

Etymology

"Grenouille" is the French word for "frog".
