Gregory Goyle is in the same year as Harry Potter at Hogwarts. Along with Vincent Crabbe, he is a thuggish crony of Draco Malfoy. He is widely considered to be extremely stupid. He nearly fails his exams in his first year and is not able to give Dolores Umbridge a simple answer after being questioned about Hagrid's lessons. Goyle, along with Crabbe, fails his Defence Against the Dark Arts O.W.L. in his fifth year. His father, Goyle Sr, is a Death Eater.
