Greenhouse One is where the first year Herbology classes are taught.[1] The room has no dangerous species as it is for the first-year students. Second and subsequent year students take the class in Greenhouse Three, which has more advanced material.[2]

History

1991–1992 school year

Pomona Sprout taught the Lumos Solem spell to her first year students in this greenhouse in 1991. This spell would later be used by Hermione Granger to defeat the Devil's Snare in the Philosopher's Stone Chambers. [3]

1993 and after

Pomona Sprout and, eventually, Neville Longbottom continued using this greenhouse as first year Herbology classroom.
