John Kent Fruiterers in 1991

"I am related to the Selwyns... Indeed, there are few pure-blood families to whom I am not related. A pity... that the same cannot be said for you. 'Parents profession: greengrocers.'"
— Umbridge taunts Mary Cattermole about her parents' profession[src]

Greengrocer is a Muggle profession dealing in the buying and selling of fruits and vegetables.

History[]

John Kent was a greengrocer who owned his own store as of 1991.[1]

There was also a greengrocer that Harry Potter and Rubeus Hagrid walked past on their way to the Leaky Cauldron in 1991.[1]

The Muggle-born witch Mary Cattermole's parents were greengrocers. Dolores Umbridge taunted her with this fact during her trial before the Muggle-Born Registration Commission in 1997.[2]
