A goat is a domesticated member of the Bovidae family, closely related to sheep. Aberforth Dumbledore was fond of keeping goats for pets, once performing illicit charms upon them and getting a hearing with the Ministry of Magic. Goats are used for their milk, meat, hair, and skins.
