- "I well remember the time when, on a particularly dangerous trek along the banks of the River Clyde in Glasgow, Scotland, in search of the fabled 'Weetimorousbeastie', I chanced upon a snickering cluster of Imps."
- —Gilderoy Lockhart, Marauding with Monsters.[src]
Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and third most populous in the United Kingdom.
In Marauding with Monsters, Gilderoy Lockhart wrote about his adventures along the banks of the River Clyde in Scotland, in search of the fabled Weetimorousbeastie, ending up defeating an Imp colony instead.[1] The veracity of these claims is doubtful, given Lockhart's theft of other people's achievements.
Eeylops Owl Emporium, a chain of owl shops, had a location in Glasgow.[2]
