- On an old version of her website, J.K. Rowling said that a non-magical person born to a wizarding parent is a Squib. Pottermore, however, refers to the Lockhart sisters, who have a witch mother, as Muggles. It is likely an error, since Dolores Umbridge has similar parentage of having one wizard parent and one muggle parent, and her brother who has no magic is referred to as a Squib.
