This letter was written by Gilderoy Lockhart to his then-pupil, Harry Potter, sometime during the 1992-1993 school year, when the latter missed one of his Defence Against the Dark Arts lessons concerning the Verdimillious Duo Spell, and invited him to a private lesson on the spell in his office.[1]
Contents[]
Harry,
I'm very displeased that you missed my new Defence Against the Dark Arts class! To be a successful wizard you have to study with the best!
Come along to my office for a private lesson.
