- — Cuthbert Binns lecturing on this strike.[src]
The Gargoyle Strike of 1911 was a wildcat strike of gargoyles that occurred in 1911. The wildcats were winning at some point during the strike when something noteworthy happened. Professor Cuthbert Binns was giving a lecture on this strike to one of his classes during the 1991-1992 school year when he was accidentally interrupted by Harry Potter.
Behind the scenes
- The line of dialogue that mentions this strike was intended to be used in the Game Boy Color version of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone as part of a mechanic where Harry would lose house points for interrupting classes. However, this is not possible in the final game, and thus this dialogue goes unused, though it still appears in the game's ROM.[1]
