The Gargoyle Gate is a passage connecting the main grounds with a forest section. The gate is on a small paved courtyard, and it's comprised of big wooden double dours flanked by two columns topped with winged gargoyles shaped like boars.[1]
In 1991, Quirinus Quirrell Transfigured one of the gargoyles to attack Harry Potter. Harry, however, managed to defeat the gargoyle.[1]
Behind the scenes
- The Gargoyle Gate bears a resemblance to the Entrance Gates, but they are different structures.
