At the counter, the [[Manager of Gambol and Japes|Dependent]] will sell you a box of stink bombs, for only eight sickles. To the left of the counter, there is a door that leads to a room where there is a magic meter. Flipendo throws, and if you do well, a timber is lifted and you can crawl. Then you've come to the back room. There, in front of the fireplace, you will find a feather, (owned by [[Ginny Weasley]]). In this room there is an update, but is closed and therefore you can not pass.

Gambol and Japes Wizarding Joke Shop is a shop located in South Side, Diagon Alley. It sells a wide range of joke items and other stuff serving mainly as an entertainment. It is presumably the favourite shop of Fred and George Weasley, and Lee Jordan. It was there that they stocked up on Dr. Filibuster's Fabulous Wet-Start, No-Heat Fireworks in 1992.[1] It is run by a man with a white beard and moustache. It was located between Obscurus Books and Twilfit and Tattings.[2]

Etymology

"To gambol" means to frolic around playfully, while a "jape" is a practical joke.
