From Egg to Inferno: a Dragon-Keeper's Guide was a book about dragons kept in the Hogwarts Library. Rubeus Hagrid consulted the library's copy of this book when he first got the dragon egg that eventually hatched into a Norwegian Ridgeback that Hagrid named Norbert. The book contains everything one might need to know about breeding dragons, but contains no information on how to tame one as the author considered this "too dangerous".^[1]
