The Freezing Spell^[1][2][3] (Glacius^[4]) is a charm used to put out fires and create ice blocks; it can freeze several inches of water solid within seconds, making said water durable enough for a thirteen-year old to walk across without falling through.

Behind the scenes

• This charm can be bought at Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment in Diagon Alley in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4.
• During the lessons in LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 if the player irritates the Professor he/she will cast Glacius at the player and put him/her into a block of ice.
• In the game version Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (video game), his charms teacher arranged a test for Harry, in which he had to use this spell to freeze some running water; he then had to slide on it without the ice breaking, which would then guarantee that he passed the test; later on in the year, he had to use the spell to make a lizard freeze.
