Revision as of 15:27, 4 January 2011
The wands of Fred and George Weasley are 15 inches long [1] of unknown wood and containing unknown cores. Like most wizards and witches in Great Britain, they likely purchased them both from Ollivander at the age of eleven before beginning their education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1989.
They have also been able to perform powerful magic with their wands, such as casting nonverbal spells. Due to the twins' choice in subjects, it is possible that Fred's wand was more suitable for Transfiguration work[2].
Both twins used their wands through the Battle of Hogwarts, and George used his in the final battle to defeat Yaxley.[3]
