During the 1997-1998 school year, Harry, with his friends Hermione and Ron, were on a mission, given to Harry by Dumbledore, to find and destroy Voldemort's Horcruxes. As Voldemort and his Death Eaters had control of Hogwarts, the Ministry of Magic, and a large part of the wizarding world, returnign to school was out of the question. They spent most of the year hiding from Voldemort and rest of the world while they searched for the Horcruxes. I hope that has answered your question, and please feel free to ask more! I didn't start this page but I think that you might have misunderstood the title of it, Quidditch Lover. I think that the composer was referring to why Harry decided to not return to Hogwarts to complete his education as a seventh-year student after Voldemort was defeated. Apparently, Hermione was the only one of the trio to return to Hogwarts as a student and pass her N.E.W.T.S. (with flying colours of course) while Ron and Harry... Well that is the question. Exactly what were Ron and Harry doing during the post-Voldemort year in which Hermione continued studying. I think I may have an answer. Rowling has noted that the Ministry permitted (or rather the Aurors permitted) all those who fought and survived the Battle of Hogwarts to work for the Ministry as full-time Aurors even without completing their years at Hogwarts. I suppose that while Hermione continued her studies, Harry and Ron were busy beginning their careers as Aurors and revolutionising the Ministry's functions. How does that sound?--Yin&Yang 09:18, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

Huh, now I feel kinda stupid. Because I did think about the question, and I distinctly remeber wondering who would ask this kind of question. The answer is quite obvious. Your theory makes so much more sense :). I guess it's now up to whoever asked this question to decide which one is the correct answer. :) QuidditchLoverSnitch 2(My talk)(contribs) 01:23, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

Quidditch Lover, you're anything but stupid. Don't worry, I suppose the title is a little ambiguous so no harm done.--Yin&Yang 04:40, October 19, 2009 (UTC)

I suppose too many people do get confused by the title, but i think both the answers are relevant... :D --Beautiful altar 05:27, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
