:Personally, I think that while it is aesthetically pleasing and very organised, doing this for all seven books (not even including films, video games or accompanying books/websites) might make the article very lengthy (unless we use those article tabs you mentioned in another forum, at which point they wouldn't be too bad). --Hunnie Bunn (talk) 22:00, June 5, 2014 (UTC)

Aye, if we use the article tabs, these works well with them as it shrinks the pages down. Also, we do not need to do it for all seven books. If someone does not appear (or is not mentioned) in a book... then we do not include the appearances box for that year. For example, Oliver Wood would use 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7, but not 6. And, Dennis Creevey would use 4 and 5, but none of the others as he doesn't appear and isn't mentioned in any of them (I think; if he's mentioned in 2, then correct me!). Thus, it is only the main ones (Harry, Ron, Hermione, McGonagall, Neville, Draco to name a few!) who would use all seven. Personally, I think we should get these done - if the community agrees - first, then work on the ones for Games and so on afterwards. Just to lighten the workload and spread it over time. --HarryPotterRules1 (talk) 22:09, June 5, 2014 (UTC)

Forums: Index > The Wizengamot > Should we use appearance boxes on this wiki

Should we use appearance boxes on this wiki? Shown below, is how a box for Philosopher's Stone (with all respective things that can be added to it), would work.

It would make it easier to determine - for new fans and new users to the wiki - as to when characters appear and in what form.

Your thoughts? --HarryPotterRules1 (talk) 20:28, June 5, 2014 (UTC)
