I just saw a question on Wikianswers that caught my attention. The question was If Quirrel knew Snape never wanted to kill Harry, then how come Voldemort believed in Snape? Is this a possible plot hole, or is the unknown questioner and I missing a crucial detial? Just curious. QuidditchLover(My talk)(contribs) 06:05, October 13, 2009 (UTC)
That's answered in the 6th book, during the meeting with Snape, Bellatrix, and Narcissa. Snape says that he wasn't about to kill Harry, Dumbledore's favourite student, and risk his place at Hogwarts. Voldemort knew that he didn't want to kill Harry, but he just thought it was because of his place at Hogwarts, not Lily Evans. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by LilyG (talk • contribs).
- Snape also claims, while trying to keep himself loyal in the eyes of the Death Eaters, that he did not know of Voldemort's presence, and saw only unworthy Quirrell trying to steal the Stone. --Parodist 00:06, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
