Forums: Index > The Wizengamot archive > Out of Universe tag

Recently, the {{Out of universe}} tag was created, in response to this article: Wizard Rock. It is designed to clearly state that the subject of the article is not a part of the HP canon to avoid confusion. Its a good idea, and can possibly be applied to many more articles. However, it was recently attached to two actor pages, Jessie Cave and Evanna Lynch. I do not believe that actor pages should have this tag on them, and believe we need a policy on the use and application of the OoU template. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 09:02, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

I agree, it really does not need to be applied to all OoU articles. I think just those that could be confused with in-universe articles. Now what's the seperator between those? I'm not entirely sure...actors, authors, etc. in the real world though -- definitely shouldn't have it. -- DarkJedi613 (Talk) 13:46, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
I think that authors, directors, actors and like should not be tagged in that way. Only articles, like Wizard Rock, or Muggle Quidditch (if I ever get round to creating the article) should be ... those articles that might be confused as part of the HP universe. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 23:56, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
