As we have seen in previous trailers and images, there will be a New Viaduct in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, connecting the Entrance Hall to the Hogwarts grounds. The Old Viaduct connected the Entrance Hall to The Long Gallery. But my question is, will the old one appear in the film, or has the new one replaced it?

One the one hand, the promotional images show that the old viaduct is still there. Old viaduct 1

Old viaduct 2

On the other hand, in the trailer there's nothing in front of the door of the Viaduct Entrance, and the path from the Entrance Courtyard to the Quad seems to have been enlarged to the Viaduct Entrance. Old viaduct 3

What do you think about this?

I think the inconsistence among different promotional images is normal, because most people won't even notice any change of the castle. We need to wait for the release of the last film to make a conclusion. Maybe Warner Bros will try to make the viaducts in the film consistent during post-production. After watching the trailer again, I think the old viaduct is actually removed. Here's a screenshot:

Yeah, it's definitly been removed. Which leads me to wonder, what are Harry and Voldemort jumping off exactly? Everybody keeps saying the Astronomy Tower, but that's clearly not the Tower, and it looks to be in the rough position of the Stone Bridge, but it's too narrow to be that. I guess I won't find out until July 15.Drummerwiz92 14:33, May 19, 2011 (UTC)
