Are we going to have competitions to design a background strip and header bar for the monaco skin, like Wookiepedia have got. –K.A.J^{•T•C•E•} 09:21, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Really? Kinda defeats the point of having a monaco skin, the whole idea is so that you can customize these things. –K.A.J^{•T•C•E•} 11:15, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

Ok here's something, it's not much but I dont have time to be incredibly artistic right now. This is the sort of thing we'd be looking at though and it matches the logo.

Yes it would. The problem is, I got that image off a promotional poster. The sphere was in the lower left-hand corner. It would be awesome if you could find a full circle.--Matoro183 ^(Talk) 17:21, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

I like the idea of customizing it...but yes its very strange with it not being a full globe. Moving it to the left is kinda funky, but I wouldn't be opposed to it. -- DarkJedi613 ^(Talk) 21:37, 7 August 2008 (UTC)

It looks great to the left, sure lets vote for it. Also putting it to the left is really the only option, I've looked high and low and I cant find a full globe, the reason for this is I dont think there ever was one, in all the wallpapers it is cut off on the left and in all the posters it is cut off at the bottom. There is no reason for it to stay black, it adds nothing to the wiki and ultimately detracts from it by not talking advantage of the monaco's full capabillities. I was thinking the shiny black brick wall found in the department of mysteries would look good, because it is a completely symetrical pattern that we could just repeat along the top, it would also give as a Ministry of Magic theme to the wiki. –K.A.J^{•T•C•E•} 13:19, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Heres something a bit diffrent but with the same theme.

Well here is my first attempt at a header bar, it doesnt look it but it is the actual brick wall from the departmet of mystery's I had to copy and paste it reapetedely.

Just a couple of things. We can customize a lot, but that doesn't mean we should. In general when there are places that text appears a background image is a bad idea (unless its a simple pattern).
