I haven´t seen the film for some time. When Fred and George give the map to Harry, are there any names of characters on it that were not mentioned in the book ? --Rodolphus 15:00, 12 August 2009 (UTC)
I would presume that there would be names of characters not mentioned in the books because that map tells what the people inside and on the grounds of Hogwarts are doing and not all of the students that attend Hogwarts are mentioned in the book. Hogwarts is a big school so of course not everyone could be mentioned in the book unless JK wanted to write a book the size of all of her books combined.Still Learning 12:08, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

- Keeping in spirit of the story, maybe the Map only shows the locations of people Harry wants to see or is thinking about, otherwise with 1000 people in the castle during the school year, he wouldn't be able to make out individual names too well.Mandy ca 11:10, 24 August 2009 (UTC)
