I there a difference between a muggle born and a mud blood? I thought there were muggle born (no wizard parents) and half blood(one wizard parent), and true bloods( both wizard parents) with the slang mud blood applying to both muggle born and half blood and a dirty lineage slang. My son thinks a half blood cannot be called a mud blood. Who is right? email to email@example.com your thoughts
- Well, I would say you are both right. A Mud-blood is another word for a Muggle-born. A Half-Blood could be called a Mud-blood, but generally the term mud-blood isnt used to describe a half-blood. RatneerOwl Alert! 02:14, December 13, 2009 (UTC)
- I believe the term "mudblood" is only used to refer to muggle-borns. However, to pure-blood fanatics like the Malfoys, even half-blood is a derogatory term, as to them it means people like Harry are only half-wizards, not "real" wizards. For example, in "Order of the Phoenix", Bellatrix Lestrange calls Harry "filthy half-blood". - Nick O'Demus 14:09, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
