Apparently (in other words, it happened but I wasn't here for it), a while back there was a discussion on which images should be used for infoboxes. To clarify, if a character appears in a later video game but not in the film counterpart, it is common practice to use the new video game image. Although this does portray their most recent appearance, it is also thoroughly unrealistic, looks "cartoonish" enough that it contradicts (in my opinion, at least) the encyclopaedic tone the wiki holds. I think we should use the most recent film image in the infobox. Thoughts? Don't forget: Elvendork! (It's unisex!) 00:07, February 24, 2013 (UTC)

The main issue with strictly using the canon-tiers argument for images is that this would mean the Mary GrandPré images would trump just about everything else (although Pottermore does give us a few more options now, I don't think that was a available the last time there was a major discussion about this). - Nick O'Demus 09:39, March 10, 2013 (UTC)
I don't really mind a video game image, if it's of high-quality. And discussion is always allowed if someone feels they have a better image that can replace the existing image that's being used in an infobox. ProfessorTofty (talk) 11:36, March 10, 2013 (UTC)
Why not use the Mary Grandpré image? It is the most canon after all, and she at least tries to go by the book. And there's also Pottermore, which I personally like to use for objects and places, since we do see them properly. Majority rules, I suppose. Therefore, I also suppose that nothing changes, save that I know the wiki a bit better (meant in a positive way, of course, so hopefully nobody takes it in a negative way :) --Hunnie Bunn! 13:40, March 10, 2013 (UTC)
