Im pretty sure that molly tells ginny to stay, but luna's family werent there? Radikuluz 11:37, October 30, 2009 (UTC)

I think it wasn't the fact that Ginny was underage, but the fact that her family didn't want her in the battle. After all, Collin Creevy was seen in the battle, as well as many other underage DA members. I do remember that McGonagall was trying to send all underage students home, but she had trouble with the Gryffindors, so I assume a lot of them snuck into the battle and fought. (I don't have the book with me to check on, but I think I have the right info. I'm sorry if I'm confused.) I hope that helps. QuidditchLoverSnitch 2(My talk)(contribs) 05:36, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

That was a very thoughtful question which may or may not have crossed J.K Rowlings mind. However I think that perhaps, the D.A might be allowed to fight,or maybe she, like Ginny tried to fight BUT only came useful during the "PATRONUS TIME".Lunas father allowed her to fight as a Harry Potter supporter but Ginny was not allowed due to mere concern.I really hope this helps as this question never cxame across to me.--Beautiful altar 08:36, October 18, 2009 (UTC)

Hi, it's possible that Luna had already turned 17 even though she was in 6th year. I checked on here and the battle of Hogwarts is in May and Ginny's Birthday is in August. Hope that helps....yeah...i think its that only...--Beautiful altar 05:41, October 24, 2009 (UTC)

Ginny does fight. When Harry has to get into the Room of Requirement, where Ginny is waiting on her family, he tells her to get out so that he can get Ravenclaw's diadem. Ginny then eagerly runs out to fight in the Battle, and Harry calls after her "But you have to come back!" --Parodist 13:42, October 30, 2009 (UTC)
