If everyone doubted that Harry saw Voldemort return, then why didn't he just pull out his memory of that night in the graveyard and show everyone in the pensieve? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 18.104.22.168 (talk • contribs).
- Because, as Slughorn has demonstrated, memories can be modified. -- 00:55, December 31, 2009 (UTC)
Sluhorn did show that memories can be modified but we didn't know that until the sixth book so it could have been brought up in the fifth book, good point who ever put it on here

You have to remember that Harry was initially reluctant to retell the story, because of how it affected him. Also, he would have needed a venue in which to prove himself, he didn't get that until Hermione got him the interview with Rita Skeeter.

Also, as it was proven in OotP, the wizarding community and especially the Minister for Magic were/was very reluctant to accept the truth. --22.214.171.124 18:41, January 9, 2010 (UTC)
It must also be noticed that even Prof.Dombledore was not very keen to 'expose' Harry to media. Because if Harry shows them his memory it will reveal the twin-core connection and the fact that he 'was' the 'chosen one'. It w'd destroy all Prof.Dombledore's planes for 'greater good' (& also the plot on which 7th book 'll be written).Remus Black (Owl Me!) 09:35, January 23, 2010 (UTC)
