I was wondering should we have an article on the conflict that Grindlewald started? Jayce Carver Slytheirncrest Talk 12:08, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

  • I would say so. It was a relatively major event in the Wizarding World that culminated in Dumbledore acquiring the Elder Wand. The article should also cover Grindlewald and Dumbledore's initial quest for the Hallows. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 12:56, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

We don't know much about it. Only that it happend in across Europe and never affected Britain, and that it happend at the same time as World War II. I think Dumbledore said that Grindlewald used an army of Inferi, but thats all we know. Jayce Carver Slytheirncrest Talk 14:48, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

  • Doesn't matter how much we know about it, it still deserves an article, with all known information present. We include everything on this wiki, and I'm actually surprised the article doesn't already exist. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 15:01, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

What do we call it? First Great Wizarding War, and then move the first to the second and the second the third? Jayce Carver Slytheirncrest Talk 07:56, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

  • No, since the First and Second wars are canonically refered to as the First Wizarding War and the Second Wizarding War (ref: chapter 38 title of OotP: The Second War Begins). Something such as "Grindelwald Campaign", "Grindelwald War", "Grindelwald Conflict" or something similar would be more appropriate, with a {{conjecture}} tag slapped on it - it might be a case of rereading the books and seeing if there is a better way of describing it. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 08:26, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
