*I would say so. It was a relatively major event in the Wizarding World that culminated in Dumbledore acquiring the Elder Wand. The article should also cover Grindlewald and Dumbledore's initial quest for the Hallows. - <span style="color#AA0000">Cavalier One</span>(<span style="color#DDAA00">Wizarding Wireless Network</span>) 12:56, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

We don't know much about it. Only that it happend in across Europe and never affected Britain, and that it happend at the same time as World War II. I think Dumbledore said that Grindlewald used an army of Inferi, but thats all we know. What do we call it? First Great Wizarding War, and then move the first to the second and the second the third? *No, since the First and Second wars are canonically refered to as the First Wizarding War and the Second Wizarding War (ref: chapter 38 title of OotP: The Second War Begins). Something such as "Grindelwald Campaign", "Grindelwald War", "Grindelwald Conflict" or something similar would be more appropriate, with a conjecture tag slapped on it - it might be a case of rereading the books and seeing if there is a better way of describing it. - <span style="color#AA0000">Cavalier One</span>(<span style="color#DDAA00">Wizarding Wireless Network</span>) 08:26, 4 November 2008 (UTC)

The only refrence I found was in the chapter, The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore. Rita Skeeta calls it a campaign of terror, five years of turmoil dissapearances and fatalaties. It happend across Europe and never affected Britain. on a related note, did Dumbledore actually say tht he had an army of Inferi, or was it just implied? I personally recall Dumbledore saying that Grindelwald wanted the Stone (Resurrection, not Philosopher's) so that he could have an army of Inferi, not that he actually had one. I was just wondering.
