As the one who suggested the family infobox, I think we meanwhile need to set up a policy for its contents:
1st: Some infoboxes had listed Houses of distaff members. (Hufflepuff as a Black House, due to Nymphadora) I´d say we should only include Houses of by birth and marriage members, but not distaff members
2nd: Relationships sections: I think it should only include direct relatinships by marriage. Except if the relationship is important in the series. E. g. we wouldn´t include the Grangers in the Black box, but would include the Lestranges in the Tonks, given the Dora - Bella relationship in book 7.
3rd: And this probably is the most problematic thing: When should we consider a character as notable? Personally, I´d say either if...
..the character plays an important role in the sries (no one time mentions, when avoidable
...the character has a special role at Hogwarts (Quidditch, teacher, prefect)
...the character is featured on a Wizard card or is otherwise famous.
What do you think?--Rodolphus 22:23, December 31, 2009 (UTC)
- I 100% agree with everything you say. It sometimes gets ridiculous in the infobox. -- Ratneer Owl Me! 22:31, December 31, 2009 (UTC)
For the notables sections, I´d say the chara also needs to have this surneme. Nymphadora is Nymphadora Tonks, not Black. She used to be listed there.--Rodolphus 22:45, December 31, 2009 (UTC)
Bumping. We can´t really call Brutus and Abraxas Malfoy notable, can´t we?--Rodolphus 17:29, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
