I've noticed lately that a lot of characters (particularly those affiliated with Hogwarts) come under the British individuals category. Isn't this a bit speculative? Take the Mrs. Zabini article for example. I could be wrong, but there isn't a single thing to suggest that she is British besides the fact that her son goes to school in Scotland. There are loads of other cases like this too. I think we should remove characters like these from the category. What do you guys think? --Margiechocoholic 13:10, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

While that's true, there's also no mention that they're not British. So, as long as they're not explicitly mentioned to be another nationality, I think they can remain. --Cubs Fan2007 (Message me) 16:33, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
I agree with Cubs Fan. I think it's reasonable to assume that if a student attends Hogwarts, then their family lives somewhere in England, Scotland, or Ireland. It's true that we know that wizards and witches can be sent to study at foreign schools from Lucius Malfoy's desire to send Draco to Durmstrang. But this must be very uncommon, otherwise I think a foreign Hogwarts student would've been introduced, or at least mentioned, over the course of the series. Additionally, I believe that Rowling herself mentioned somewhere that only British children can attend Hogwarts in response to a question as to whether or not she planned to introduce any American children into the novels, saying they had their own schools to attend. - Cavalier OneGryffindorcrest(Wizarding Wireless Network) 07:57, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
Is this the reference in question? She doesn't categorically state that there are no foreign students at Hogwarts, only that she did not wish to insert foreigners into the books "for the sake of it," as she felt they would be "gratuitous". Starstuff (Owl me!) 08:11, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
