I notice there are many problems concerning the spelling of words, since there are different spellings. I think we should create page, for reference for common misspellings for British words. As I am American, I know some of the misspellings, but I too make the same mistakes alot. I, obviously cant write this page, since I am not british. They are not MISspelled. They are just spelling differences. It is like honor and honour; neither is wrong -- just one is American and the other, British. 24.49.35.99 03:26, April 22, 2010 (UTC)

Too time-consuming and absolutely unnecessary. There are already tons of resources online to compare the differences. See, e.g. "American and British English spelling differences" on Wikipedia. Rick-o 17:38, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

I agree. We really don't need to go through all the effort when it already exists. A simple link to the wikipedia page should suffice. It has worked fine for me so far.--Matoro183 ^(Talk) 18:59, May 11, 2010 (UTC)

BTW, I think some of the American posters to this talk page should be more concerned about their ability to spell American English than British! Rick-o 22:22, May 27, 2010 (UTC)

This poses a question, though. Should we use British spellings or American ones for our articles? For example, if the word "color" came up. Should we use color or colour? Organization or organisation? Practice or practise? Defense... etc. Does it matter, or to stay in-universe, should we stay completely "British" 24.49.35.99 21:17, June 27, 2010 (UTC)

British spelling (i.e. "neighbour" instead of "neighbor") and/or terminology (i.e. "football" instead of "soccer") are to be used within the article namespace. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 21:32, June 27, 2010 (UTC)
