I was wondering what this wiki's community thought about covering the various Harry Potter board games. I've written a sample of what such an article may look like (may need some copy-editing, I just did a quick write up). I was thinking, however, that perhaps a hub article going into a lot less detail would be a better way to cover them than giving each one an individual article. Or maybe not.

Another question that comes to mind is if we consider potential new information from board games canon. Say, for instance, there was a Harry Potter board game that identified your players as named Hogwarts students, with names unique to the board game. Would these hypothetical students be considered canon? Board games (or, rather, the ones we will be covering) are licensed Harry Potter merchandise, after all.

So, yeah. Thoughts? -- 1337star (Drop me a line!) 17:29, July 8, 2012 (UTC)

I think if we have sufficient information to write up a complete article (pretty much what you have in your work page, but perhaps a bit more complete when it comes to picture and overall info), we should do it.
"Potential new information from board games" would make its way into the articles as tier-3 canon, per the canon policy, so everything not contradicted by the films or Rowling would be canon. --  Seth Cooper  owl post! 17:45, July 8, 2012 (UTC)
Yeah, it sounds like a good idea to me. There's a whole range of merchandise that hasn't yet been tapped for articles, but I'm not sure how much of it is individual article-worthy - for example, the various Harry Potter film poster books. ProfessorTofty (talk) 19:06, July 8, 2012 (UTC)
