Forums: Index > The Wizengamot archive > Bill and Fleur's wedding

I didn't want to create this article without having a discussion, since it would be quite different from most other articles and may not meet our notability standards, but should events like Bill and Fleur's wedding have their own articles? Wookieepedia has articles like that; in fact, they have a subcategory of events called "weddings", as well as others like "conflicts", "funerals", etc. By this logic, we could also have articles for events such as Dumbledore's funeral, Slughorn's Christmas party, etc., and break the "Events" category down into subcategories such as "military conflicts", "parties", "ceremonies", etc. Any thoughts? I thought we already had this article. I'm for its creation; it's an event, and a fairly notable one because of the Death Eater appearance. By extension, articles for Dumbledore's funeral and the Christmas party would be acceptable, too. Wookieepedia has articles on character's funerals, so I see no reason to not include them. Subcategories could include those you mention, but change "parties" to "celebrations" for a more formal tone, and then we can include the Yule Ball in there. - Cavalier OneGryffindorcrest(Wizarding Wireless Network) 18:53, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
All right. I'll get started with an article for the wedding and some of the subcategories. Oread (talk) 20:44, 16 March 2009 (UTC)
I've created one for the Slug Club Christmas Party as well. Dumbledore's funeral should definitely get its own article also. Oread (talk) 00:33, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
