Articles on JKR's son David and daughter Mackenzie were created recently. Although I worked a little on both, I am not entirely sure that this wiki should have articles on members of JKR's family, as they might be seen as showing a lack of respect for the privacy of JKR and her family. If we do have such articles, though, I think we should limit the information they contain to things that have been revealed either by Rowling or her official representatives. I think that, even when there is a connection to the HP series, it is usually tenuous at best: book dedications, character namesakes (e.g., Stan Shunpike and Ernie Prang being named after her grandfathers), etc. ★ Starstuff ^{(Owl me!)} 03:34, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

No, I meant if there is actually a connection. Like a family member having a cameo in a movie, etc. (although book dedications isn't totally ridiculous). -- DarkJedi613 ^(Talk) 03:36, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

An article on the wikia about JKR's family members is justified if one of them actually appeared in the movies. Any other connections like the fact that Stan Shanpike was the name of JKR's grandfather could be mentioned in the behind the scenes sections.
