I was always wondering about Apparition, in book 5 when the Advance Guard arrives Lupin tells Harry that he is too young to Apparate at 15 years old, but one year later at 16 Dumbledore takes him all over the place via Side-Along-Apparition. Why can he Side-Along-Apparate at 16 but not at 15? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by {} (talk • contribs).

Maybe because 16 is the passable age of a person who could Apparate. 15 years below are those not allowed to do so. Actually, when you read the book 6, There's a new subject in Hogwarts, teaching the students or giving them the opportunity to learn how to apparate. In Chapter 18 of the book for the exact source. ----ÈnŔîčö Ravenclawcrest(Send me an Owl) 16:35, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

This is probably because in book 5, Lupin is not referring to Side-Along-Apparition. You can probably go anywhere via Side-Along-Apparition at any age. Hermione524 03:17, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
