The Flutterby bush is a plant that quivers and shakes. It produces flowers once a century that adapt their scent to attract the unwary.
Fourth year students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry learn how to prune the bushes in Herbology class. In 1997, Mrs. Weasley planted two Flutterby bushes in the garden at The Burrow in preparation for the wedding of her son, Bill, to Fleur Delacour.
"Flutterby" is an old name for "butterfly".
