Florence was a girl who attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at the same time as Bertha Jorkins. She was once caught kissing an unidentified boy behind the Hogwarts greenhouses by Bertha.

Florence Nightingale was a British nurse who helped heal soldiers in the Crimean War. Florence is also a city in Italy.
