"I had your fireplace connected to the Floo Network, you see — just for an afternoon, you know, so we could get Harry. Muggle fireplaces aren't supposed to be connected, strictly speaking — but I've got a useful contact at the Floo Regulation Panel and he fixed it for me."
Arthur Weasley to Vernon Dursley in the summer of 1994.[src]

The Floo Regulation Panel is a committee that is possibly within or a predecessor to the Floo Network Authority in charge of connecting fireplaces to the Floo Network and maintaining those connections.[1] It was this panel that was responsible for the afternoon-long connection of the fireplace at 4 Privet Drive on 24 August, 1994.[1] and of some fireplaces at Hogwarts on 5 January, 1997.[2]
