Flobberworm sweat is perspiration produced by the flobberworm, a magical species of worm. What use it has, if any, is unclear, though it is not an acceptable replacement for Flobberworm Mucus in the Wiggenweld Potion. A Ravenclaw student privately wondered why this was the case after being assigned to find some mucus, along with other ingredients for the potion, by Severus Snape in 1991.
Behind the scenes
- Only mammals are capable of perspiring in the real world. However, the ability to sweat may be among the flobberworm's magical properties, or the student in question may just have been mistaken about the existence of flobberworm sweat.
