A Flipendo Button with a blue hand-sign
Flipendo Buttons are magical buttons in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and other places such as Ollivanders Wand Shop that are bound to only activate when the Knockback Jinx, Flipendo, is cast on them. They are normally connected to an object anywhere near, such as a portcullis or a flying platform or even bars in front of doors. The kind with Flipendo sign on them were especially seen throughout all floors in Hogwarts Castle and have Wall-cuttings of a creature on the backside[1] while there existed others, such as some with a blue hand on them.[2]
